Jets Netball Club was formed in 1984 by the current coach, Karen Lain, to encourage local mums to get back into sport. Since then the club has gone from strength to strength and currently has a team in division 4 of the Cambridge District Netball League.

The club offers a friendly and sociable environment where women can come and enjoy playing netball, whether that just means coming to training sessions on Wednesday evenings or taking part in competitive matches at weekends.

Jets is an inclusive netball club whose members range in age and ability. We welcome anyone (17+ yrs) from skilled players to those who have not played for some time, we have teenage members to players in their 40’s and 50’s – there is a team for everyone!

Our training sessions are geared around improving player’s netball proficiency and are divided into skill sessions and match play. We actively encourage women to come and give netball a try even if they have not played recently and for this reason initial training sessions are free of charge.

Training takes place at Netherhall School, Queen Edith’s Way, Cambridge on Wednesday evenings from 19.30 to 21.00 throughout the year.

Quote from the Coach & Founder:

Jets Netball Club is my passion in life.  Having founded the club all those years ago I cannot imagine life without it.  I believe that we are a club with a great reputation for being competitive and are strong in all areas on the netball court.  Our members come from a variety of backgrounds and are friendly and supportive team players.  All in all we are a great bunch of women!

We invite new recruits to come along for a couple of weeks before deciding whether or not to make a commitment and join the club.

Believe me it is easy to get hooked. Come along and try out at the club!

Please contact me for further information or if you would like to come along to a training session.

I look forward to hearing from you.
